I was born in Belfast, where I lived until the age of five when my family moved to London., returning when I was twelve.
I have a broad employment history, writing for local newspapers (including Antrim Times, Sunday News, Newsletter and Sunday World), editing a number of local publications (Easy Access, Body Thoughts, Nightowl) and running my own leisure business for ten years.
For the last five years I have worked with leading local charity, Simon Community. I see the very real issues affecting people in urban areas. Living in a community where social poverty is very much a reality I will ensure that real policies are developed to help those in society who need it the most.
Married to my wife Michelle for twelve years, I live in North Belfast and am a strong supporter of Community Empowerment and Social Inclusion.
