Nicholson meets with Minister to discuss Comber Greenway
Conservative and Unionist MEP Jim Nicholson accompanied by Alderman Michael Copeland and representatives from Comber Greenway met with Minister Conor Murphy on Monday to discuss the Comber Greenway.
Mr Nicholson said that he had requested the meeting with the Minister after he was contacted by local residents.
Mr Nicholson described the Minister as being open in his approach to the issues surrounding the Comber Greenway and he felt that he took on board the very real concerns raised at the meeting. The Minister told the delegation that he hoped to have the consultants report next Spring and he hoped the residents would have their input in that. He also undertook to fully investigate the concerns of the residents and left the door open for further discussions.
Mr Nicholson concluded by saying that he felt that it was a useful meeting and discussion.
